Do you tend to overthink everything - from text writing to decision making? We're thorough thinkers, and it can take a while! We think from many perspectives and potential eventualities,. We can be at risk of avoiding challenging decisions or situations because of the energy it takes to think everything through.
Our emotions can be intense and they can range from complete joy and awe to complete angst and despair. When we connect to our emotions and we learn to manage them, it can give us more choice and self-management in challenging situations.
We feel our feels deeply and we feel other people's feels too - and what a great way to connect to people! If we are not careful though we can take on too many emotions and it can get pretty overwhelming, especially for the people-pleasers amoungst us.
Sights, sounds, smells, energy, emotions - we're aware of all of it! We have an ability to know what other people need even if they are not aware of it themselves. Our intuition is switched on, and at times we can experience hyper-vigilance that can be hard to ignore.
We want to connect with others, and we never want to disappoint anyone either so we can show up for them at the expense of ourselves. When we identify and assert our boundaries, we are more authentic, which improves our relationships because we teach people how we like to be treated too
I have a special interest in developing confident communication skills, to assertively reach a win:win without drama or becoming passive. When we develop an assertive conflict and communication style we can stand up for ourselves in a collaborative way, allowing us to develop self-trust and maintain good relationships with others.
